Summer Programme – French and Culture

To develop students’ French language skills, particularly oral comprehension and oral communication in everyday life, the courses of this programme are taught 100% in French in order for students to experience total immersion in French language.
Through a collaborative teaching approach, students participate in interactive activities in small groups or pairs, to simulate real-life situations and conversations.

At the end of this module, students will have the ability to:

• Give some personal information
• Exchange information with peers
• Adapt speech to the context of communication
• Introduce and characterise people or objects

This course is designed for beginners in French.

• Undergraduate and Postgraduate

Credits

• Students who successfully complete the programme will be awarded 3 ECTS/ 1 US credits.

Prerequisites

• Successful completion of at least one year of undergraduate-level studies.
• Strong command of spoken and written English.

Included in the programme

• 15 contact hours
• 9 hours of cultural activities outside class with professor
• Welcome breakfast and farewell appetizers lunch

The programme is subject to a minimum enrolment of 15 students – if this number is not met, Rennes SB reserves the right to cancel the course.
