[Video] Hackathon: a 3-Day Challenge for First Year Students
475 students, 24 000 Post-its, 1 200 paper boards, 1 050 liters of coffee… That’s what the Hackathon 2016 looked like!
The Hackathon in 3 words? Digital, challenge and friendship
Every year, Rennes School of Business organises an ‘Orientation Week’ to welcome the first-year students of Master in Management.
In 2016, as a part of the orientation week, we decided to organise a 3-day Design Sprint. Conceived by two experts from Ignited Kingdom, this 3-day intense project was aimed at challenging the students on the subject ‘Digitalisation and the future of news media’.
475 freshmen of our school worked on a business strategy focusing on digital transformation in the field of news media. Working on projects in teams, our students came up with highly innovative digital solutions by the end of the third day.
